No wallet means no grocery shopping which means no cooking, so Sebastian and I rode our bikes to my sister’s where we watched the last 15 minutes of “Have you Heard about the Morgan’s,” (which she claims is quite funny thanks to SJP’s ability to deliver a line and Hugh’s unbounded charm) and the Laker game. We ordered in some all American cuisine and called it a night.
Recovering the items in my wallet was more challenging than it should be, and I realized it is because for the last 4 years I have refused to really accept that New York is now my home. For example, I have to wait 7-10 days for a new debit card because my account is in California. Should have opened an account here years ago. Also, I have to (and pardon my Yiddish) schlep a passport around for a month until I go back to California and apply for a duplicate license in person. With that said, it seems too late to be worth it now. Plus I don’t think my complexion would work well with the dull blue and grey tones of New York licenses.
Now to the lunch stuff.
WHAT: Hale and Hearty soup salad combo. Never thought I would say this but there was a bit too much avocado.
ENJOYEMENT SCALE: Today’s lunch gets a 7. Should have went for the Three Lentil Chili instead of the Tuscan White Bean.
