May 11, 2010. This salt tastes like pepper.

Yoga classes always inspire me to eat natural grains from the bins at the health food store for dinner. Last night I put together a pretty decent dish (detailed below in the “what” section) and watched a little Dancing with the Stars. Not one of my regulars, but I officially gave up on Gossip Girl a few months ago and needed a little Monday night—pardon my Yiddish—narishkeit TV. That Pussycat Dolls chick really does have an unfair advantage.  

WHAT: Quinoa with garbanzo beans, lemon juice, pine nuts and avocado. Some cucs on the side, as you can see.

ENJOYEMENT SCALE: Today’s lunch gets 7. Although not it’s fault, the dish lost a point or two after I put on some salt from the kitchen that tastes more like really bad pepper.
